Well you may have noticed progress has slowed lately…..After nine months of careful construction, Emily Rose Pengelly has emerged from the hangar and is the latest addition to the build crew.

Time out - Alex’s Fort

15th March 2009

Spent all my building time during March building a fort for Alex. What started as a simple project got more and more elaborate the further it went along.

I decided that until the fort was done I’d put the plane aside or it would never get finished!

Almost done.....still needs a roof!

What a ride!

30th November 2008

No building today…..but some very important research!

Carl Morgan kindly flew down from Whenuapai in his RV-7A (ZK-VII) and took me for a ride. Carl has built one heck of a nice plane and it was great to crawl all over it and check out some of his great ideas. He also has an excellent website documenting his build here.

Thanks again for the ride Carl!

Made this Website!

20th October 2008

Spent a while today setting up this blog. I knew from the start I wanted to document this project online where my friends and family could watch progress so up till now I have been just keeping notes in a word file.

One thing I am certain about is I don’t want to spend more time editing my website than actually building the airplane so once this is all set up right it should be a quick easy process to add to it. (can even do entries from my iPhone which might be handy)

This Wordpress package is great but still requires a lot of customization so expect things to change.
